An MLM upline claiming to have thousands of downline distributors may simply be a general moving his/her pre-existing army across the river, and he/she did not really recruit hundreds or thousands of NEW people into XanGo in just a few months.
You cannot grow your business nationally and globally without Internet savvy. At best, pre-Internet distributors can teach you how to build a small, local businesses slowly--using time-consuming, archaic methods (such a signing up grandma and endless phone solicitation of strangers).

1. John was senior marketing executive
in two large world class multi-billion dollar banking firms for
a total of 15 years, including nine years
as Corporate Vice President & Marketing Director of BarclaysAmericanCorporation, a huge consumer and commercial finance
operation.
2. John has been a professional public
speaker for 27 years, speaking on consumer
marketing, self-employment, motivation,
and the Internet.
3. John has been self-employed since 1987
as a business consultant, business plan
writer, MLM Dealer (Enrich International
--now Unicity--and Matol KM), and co-owner of an Internet
website creation firm, which he had
the vision to start in 1997 when the Internet
was new.
4. John was involved successfully in direct sales
of encyclopedias while in college, getting basic
sales training at any early age. However, that kind
of selling is now passe. It has been replaced by "consultative"
selling. John is very skilled in this as well.
5. During John's first year in another MLM
business partnering with Shirley, their income from that MLM increased 43%. It has increased more 20 to 40% per year ever since. It is an Internet-based MLM distributorship, now growing nationally. Even our training is Internet based, as we train using the only Dealer training business website in that business.
6. John is a graduate of Providence College,
with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Political Science
with a Pre-Law Specialty, and minoring in English.
He has never stopped learning.

7. Shirley was a classroom teacher in Christian
schools for 35 years, being selected three times
for inclusion of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers,"
an honor conferred only on the nation's top 3% of
all teachers. She taught history, English and Bible.
She says she now "teachers older kids in a bigger classroom."
8. Shirley has been in MLM for 30 years
with her late husband.
9. Shirley was selected as a Finalist by the
Greater St. Petersburg Area of Commerce's
Business of the Year Awards for 2003--in
the Rookie of The Year Category--from among
600 Entreprenurial Academy graudates.
In 2004, she competed again in this event, this time winning a Business of the Year Award in the Entrepreneurial Academy Graduate Category. This is the first time either a home-based business, or MLM distribution organization, won a Business of the Year Award from the St. Petersburg Area Chamber.
She was named a finalist by the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce in its 2003 Business of the Year Awards (homebased business category), and she received the coveted "Pioneer Award" in 2003 from the Tampa Bay Chapter of NAWBO, the National Association of Women Business Owners.
NAWBO Tampa Bay's officers and directors advanced Shirley to Membership Chair of this group for 2003-2004. For the 2004-2005 year, she advanced to Vice President--Member Services, overseeing seven operating committee chairpersons.
