Origins Of John J. Alquist
John J. Alquist, owner/operator of Alquist Enterprises, began his public speaking whilst serving in the corporate world as a senior marketing executive. His diverse employment background includes the manufacturing, retailing and financial services industries.
Initially, he spoke about marketing within the financial services industry, with particular emphasis on market segmentation using geodemographic techniques and other consumer marketing issues.
Corporate Executive No More
After 23 years of corporate employment, including nine years as Marketing Director for a large national diversified financial services organization, he established his own business, and his speaking topics broadened to include a wide range of Internet isssues as well as small business topics, particularly those involving home based businesses.
John explains the impact of the death of the Industrial Revolution and its replacement by the Information Age, the disappearance forever of long-term jobs and job security, "jobless recovery," "offshore outsourcing," and the need for a switch to self-employment, career self-reliance, and Internet business proficiency.
A High Voltage Speaker
Mr. Alquist is an entertaining, uplifting, challenging, and humorous speaker--and he is something of a contrarian, defying "conventional wisdom," which is usually unwise, if not totally wrong, anyway.
Religion and Politics, Too
Since becoming a born again Christian in 1987, Mr. Alquist has added Bible teaching to his public speaking. He has a virtual church, First Internet Christian Church, on the Web.
And, having been a political commentator since age 15, he also speaks on political issues. He has moved from Reagan conservatism to Libertarianism, while the Republican and Democrat parties today practice galloping socialism, trying to build and enhance the "nanny state" and voters dependence upon it at all costs.
Provocative Author Since Age 15
He began writing published newspaper articles at age 15, and he worked for a newspaper as a writer after graduating from college. He authors business plans and all other types of business, marketing, advertising, and public relations material.
An Internet Authority, Expert and Practioner!!!
He has been creating business websites since 1996 for clients. He offers a speech entitled, "Internet Business Proficiency--Are You There Yet?"
