AMSOIL Dealer DeAnn Almond, Hot Springs, Arkansas, writes:

John and Shirley Alquist have been our AMSOIL sponsors for almost five years. They have been our teachers, our confidents, our sounding board, our mentors, and our dear friends. They have taught us the AMSOIL business from the ground up, not once, not twice, but three times.

The first time was when my husband Charles originally decided to become an AMSOIL dealer. John and Shirley spent countless hours with him on the phone and in person helping him learn to be the best AMSOIL dealer he could be. Their guidance and support helped him to achieve Direct Jobber status within his first year as an AMSOIL dealer.

After Charles’ near fatal struggle with encephalitis and subsequent battle to recover from the resulting brain injury, Shirley once again spent hours and hours with him on the phone, helping him to read through the AMSOIL business manual and re-introducing to him the information he had lost.

Charles’ business was inactive for two years while we focused on his recovery, and unfortunately our Direct Jobbership did not survive. A few months ago, however, I decided to try to revive Charles’ business, and once again, Shirley put in the hours, this time with me, teaching me what I would need to know to run an AMSOIL business, and helping me to overcome my fears of running a “man’s” business.

Today, Charles and I are working together to revive his business. We are steadily acquiring new customers, and looking toward regaining our Direct Jobber status. And John and Shirley continue to be vital to our success. Through weekly phone calls and constant email access, they are there to encourage, support, teach, advise, and sometimes just to listen. As sponsors, they have truly gone above and beyond the call for us, and we are so very grateful for everything they have done.
